The method involves utilizing a calendar. Each day you successfully engage in your habit, you mark it with a prominent red cross. The objective is to create a continuous sequence of red marks without interruption. During moments of low motivation, reflecting on your impressive chain of accomplishments can serve as a powerful motivator to continue.
Consistency builds momentum; the longer you engage in a positive habit, the easier it becomes to persist. Conversely, breaking the chain can lead to a loss of progress and require a return to day one.
For those wishing to track multiple habits simultaneously using individual physical calendars for each would be impractical and cumbersome.
